Privacy Policy

This explains what GoTrimy collects, what we do with it, who else sees it, and how long we keep it. It's written to be read, not to hide behind.

1. What we collect #

• Account details — your email address and password (stored encrypted by our authentication provider).
• Your videos — the files you upload and the edited versions we produce.
• Content derived from your videos — transcripts, detected cut points, captions and similar data needed to edit them.
• Usage data — which features you used, how long videos were, credits consumed, and errors encountered.
• Onboarding answers — if you answer our setup questions, we store your responses to improve the product.
• Payment records — plan, amount, date and transaction reference. We never see or store your full card or mobile wallet details; payment providers handle those.

2. Why we use it #

• To edit your videos — the service you asked for
• To operate your account, plan and credits
• To diagnose failures and improve reliability
• To contact you about your account, your videos being deleted soon, or important service changes
• To understand, in aggregate, how the product is used

We do not sell your data. We do not use your videos to train AI models. We do not show advertising.

3. Who else processes your content #

To deliver GoTrimy's features, your video or its audio may be sent to these services. Each processes it only to perform its function and returns the result to us.

These providers operate outside Bangladesh, so your content is processed internationally. Using GoTrimy means accepting that.

4. How long we keep your videos #

Retention depends on your plan. We email you before deleting anything, so you have a chance to download it or upgrade.

Please download your finished videos. GoTrimy is an editing tool, not storage. Once a video is deleted it cannot be recovered.

We may change these periods as the service grows. If we shorten them, we'll tell you first.

Account details are kept while your account is open. Usage and payment records are kept for 5 years to meet accounting and tax obligations.

5. Your rights #

• See your data — ask us for a copy of what we hold about you.
• Correct it — fix anything inaccurate.
• Delete it — close your account from settings and your data and videos are removed. Or email us and we'll do it.
• Object — tell us to stop using your data for a particular purpose.

6. Security #

Videos are stored on encrypted storage. Access to production data is limited to Shafayat Hossain personnel who need it. Data moves over encrypted connections. Sign-in is handled by a dedicated authentication provider — we never store passwords in plain text.

No service is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we'll tell you promptly and explain what happened.

7. Cookies #

GoTrimy uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

8. Children #

GoTrimy is not intended for children under 13, and you must be 18 or older to purchase a paid plan. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13; if we learn we have, we delete it and close the account.
