Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Shafayat Hossain ("GoTrimy", "we", "us"), operator of gotrimy.com. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.

1. What GoTrimy does #

GoTrimy is an online video editing service. You upload a video; our software transcribes the speech, suggests and applies cuts, can remove background noise, improve audio, add captions, and produce an edited video for you to download.

Parts of this are performed by artificial intelligence, including services operated by third parties. AI output is not guaranteed to be accurate. You are responsible for reviewing anything GoTrimy produces before you publish it.

2. Your account #

• You must be at least 18 years old, or old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, to buy a paid plan.
• You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account.
• One person or organisation per account. Sharing an account with people outside your organisation is not permitted.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

3. Your content stays yours #

You own everything you upload and everything GoTrimy produces from it. We claim no ownership of your videos.

To provide the service, you give us permission to store, process, transmit and modify your content — including sending it to the third-party services listed in the Privacy Policy — solely to deliver the features you asked for. This permission ends when your content is deleted.

We do not use your videos to train AI models, and we do not licence your content to anyone.

4. What you may not upload #

You confirm you have the right to upload and process everything you submit. You may not use GoTrimy for content that:

• infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights
• sexualises or endangers children in any way
• depicts or incites violence, or promotes terrorism
• harasses, defames or impersonates a real person
• is unlawful where you are, or where we operate
• contains a person's voice or likeness without their permission, where permission is required

We may remove content and close accounts that break this section, and report unlawful content to the authorities where the law requires it.

5. Plans, credits and limits #

GoTrimy is sold on monthly and yearly plans. Each plan includes a number of videos per month, a maximum video length, and a number of AI credits.

• Credits reset each calendar month and do not carry over. Unused credits expire.
• Credits are consumed when an AI feature runs, at the rates shown in the app before you start.
• If a job fails through our fault, we return the credits it consumed.
• We may change plan contents, credit prices or limits with reasonable notice. Changes take effect at your next billing period.

6. Service quality and availability #

We work hard to keep GoTrimy running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. The service is provided "as is". Processing times vary with video length, settings, and how busy the service is.

We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue something you paid for, we'll tell you and deal with it fairly.

7. Limits on our liability #

To the fullest extent the law allows, GoTrimy is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost data.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the six months before the claim arose.

Keep your own copies of anything important. GoTrimy is an editing tool, not a backup service, and content is deleted on the schedule in the Privacy Policy.

8. Ending the agreement #

You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Closing your account deletes your videos and personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may end this agreement if you break these terms, or if we stop operating the service — in which case we'll give you reasonable notice to download your work.

9. Changes to these terms #

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we'll notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use GoTrimy after that means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law #

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and disputes will be handled by the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
